With the success of the Shadow Green Townhomes in the Through the Green Development, Goodall Homes sought to expand their residential community with the acquisition of additional land to the west.  The expansion, The Avenues at Shadow Green, includes townhomes as well as Big House style condominium buildings, and amenity area.  The land planning for this project also included design planning for a future expansion of Mack Hatcher Parkway.  This expansion resulted in 247 new single-family homes, 39 townhomes, and 16 units within 13 new Big House buildings. This community is one of the last residential areas adjacent to the current Mack Hatcher Parkway, with the intention to create a connection to the future extension of the road.
