Rizer Point

Rizer Point is a mixed-residential community of single-family and multi-family homes developed to the south of the Harpeth River and East of the Rizer House along Del Rio Pike. Within this community sits a total of 95 homes, the majority are single families with a small collection of townhomes. Residents can enjoy several community parks, and they also have access to a canoe launch into the Harpeth River. This canoe launch ties into one of many canoe launches throughout the City of Franklin as part of their Park department’s ongoing efforts to provide its residents with recreational access to the Harpeth River.

In a collaborative effort with the Historic Zoning Commission, it was important to keep a view of the homes from the main thoroughfare. As a result, GDC designed Mapleshade Park which is a grove of maple trees in honor of the historic name for the Rizor House and the original maple trees surrounding the home.
